Partial Replacement Of Oyster Shells As Coarse Aggregate

Apr 17, 2021 The study found that the replacement of natural coarse aggregate by cockle shell at a level of 25 and fine aggregate by crushed cockle shell at a level of 10 resulted in increase of compressive strength but this replacement reduced the concrete workability.

Utilization Of Cockle Shell Aggregates In The Production

Dec 03, 2020 Both crushed and uncrushed cockle shells in concrete reduce the dry density of concrete mix at 28 days. 25 replacement of coarse aggregate with uncrushed cockle shells in concrete produces better results than the normal concrete does, and beyond the limit the strength properties gets reduced. But the target strength is achieved at 30.

Exploratory Study On The Use Of Crushed Cockle Shell As

explores the potential use of cockle shell as partial sand replacement in concrete production. Cockle shell used in this experimental work were crushed to smaller size almost similar to sand before mixed in concrete. A total of six concrete mixtures were prepared with varying the percentages of cockle shell viz. 0, 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25.
